Piano Lessons in Hartford, WI
Now accepting new students!
MY MISSION:
To teach each student to play the piano
to the best of his or her ability
and to inspire each student
to make music at the piano throughout life.
WHY PIANO LESSONS?
1. JOY
Playing piano gives countless hours of enjoyment and satisfaction throughout life. It has an uplifting effect on the spirit and is a powerful way to communicate emotion.
2. GOOD FOR THE MIND AND BODY
Piano lessons help develop the same skills needed to accomplish language arts. For example, in piano lessons students learn to read and follow directions, scan written materials, think critically, create solutions and translate writing into action. Studies show that studying music strengthens right and left brain pathways, leading to higher special reasoning, concentration, memory and adaptability. Piano lessons increase eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills. When playing the piano, not only muscles of fingers and arms, but muscles throughout the whole body are used for proper posture, peddling, and various technical skills.
3. SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN LIFE
Piano lessons help students learn how to stay focused, to persevere and to achieve goals. A key part of accomplishing anything difficult is not to give up easily. Piano lessons teach self-discipline, patience, memorization, sensitivity, and diligence.
4. THE BEST FIRST INSTRUMENT
Beginners can play pleasant sounds immediately. The piano keys are visual and many notes can be played at once. Thus, piano students gain a concrete understanding of melody, harmony, and rhythm. After you learn to play the piano, you can more easily learn any other instrument.
5. SELF-ESTEEM AND SELF-CONFIDENCE
Playing music at the piano is easily shared with others. It gives students a sense of achievement and confidence.
